What is a Gagzoo?
A YouTube video with your stickers, text, sounds and effects on top, synced to the video. You share it as a link.
Do you download or change the YouTube video?
No. The video always plays from YouTube, exactly as uploaded. Gagzoo only stores your layer of stickers and text (what appears, where and when) and draws it on top while the video plays.
Is Gagzoo free?
Yes. Making, saving and sharing Gagzoos is free.
What do I need to make one?
Google Chrome on a computer and the Gagzoo extension. Signing in with Google is only needed to save and share; you can play around without an account.
Does it work on phones?
Watching does: a Gagzoo link opens in the phone's browser and plays in full, no app needed. Making Gagzoos needs Chrome on a computer for now.
Who can see my Gagzoo?
Saved (draft): only you.
Shared (published): anyone with the link, plus Gagzoo users watching that YouTube video. Your Google display name and profile picture are shown as the creator.
Video greetings: anyone with the link you send. Greetings carry a name and a personal message, so they never appear on Explore, your profile, search or for Gagzoo users watching that YouTube video, and search engines are asked not to index them.
Can I edit or delete a Gagzoo after sharing it?
Yes. Open it from My Gagzoos, edit and save: the live version updates for everyone. To take it down, delete it there with the 🗑️ button. A Gagzoo someone reported can't be changed, published or deleted until our moderators have checked it (you can still unpublish it), and one that got a strike can't be deleted.
What is a remix?
A copy of someone's published Gagzoo that you change and save as your own. The original stays untouched and its creator is credited on your remix.
How old do I need to be?
13 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before using Gagzoo. Some countries set a higher age for agreeing to data use online; in those countries a parent must agree for younger teens. See the privacy policy.
I saw something mean or inappropriate. What do I do?
Use the Report button on that Gagzoo, or email us from the contact page. Our team reviews every report and removes content that breaks the rules.
Why won't a video play on the share page?
Some YouTube creators don't allow their videos to play outside YouTube. Open the video on YouTube with Gagzoo installed to watch the Gagzoo there.
Are the sounds and GIFs safe for my age group?
Sounds are built into Gagzoo. GIF search uses KLIPY's filter for a teen audience and blocks a list of unsafe searches. If something slips through, please report it.
Which languages does Gagzoo speak?
The editor is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Chinese and Japanese. Pick yours in the editor's settings (⚙).
How do I delete my account and data?
Sign in on the website, open My Gagzoos and choose Delete my account at the bottom. Your account, Gagzoos, comments and likes are deleted right away (a ban, strikes, content under review and any Gagzoo that got a strike stay, hidden, as a minimal moderation record; a Gagzoo that got a strike stays hidden together with its reports while the strike stands. Once a moderator removes the strike, it stays hidden with its reports; there is no fixed deletion date yet, and a moderator can delete it once no report remains.). Can't sign in? Is Gagzoo made by YouTube or Google?
No. Gagzoo is an independent product and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
